Stuart Ward

Stuart Ward has been appointed as the new Deputy Chair of the Post Sentence Authority.

Mr Ward brings a broad set of skills and a unique depth of knowledge about the criminal justice system to the Post Sentence Authority, garnered from over 20 years of experience in senior executive management.

Prior to joining the Post Sentence Authority, Mr Ward was the Chief Administrative Officer of the Adult Parole Board where he was instrumental in reforming and modernising the organisation.

Mr Ward has extensive experience in criminal law, legal management, and statutory decision making. He was the Legal Practice Manager at the Office of Public Prosecutions from 2007 to 2014, acting as Solicitor for Public Prosecutions for a year, and he has held statutory appointments with Business Licensing Authority (Deputy Chairperson, 1999-2007) and Motor Car Traders’ Guarantee Fund Claims Committee (Chairperson, 2001-2007).
